I obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Sciences at the University of Cagliari, in Italy. Subsequently, I earned a PhD in Computer Science at the same university. My career began in the field of optoelectronic technologies, but towards the late 1990s, I professionally shifted towards the administration and security of computer systems and networks. For over fifteen years, I managed the computer network of a significant Italian organization, overseeing both its functionality and security policies. In addition to academic publications, I have authored several books and articles on programming, networking, and network/system security. I have collaborated with various companies in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, providing forensic consultancy and teaching in various computer science disciplines.
Currently, along with teaching activities, I work as a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Cagliari, in Italy. My research field encompasses various areas, including Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and security. |
